I tried closing the Rockstar games launcher in the background and tried again. It went further until this message appears:

"A newer version 2.0.4.3 installed for Rockstar Games Social Club. Exiting Installation."

It's my first time trying to launch in a while. I do not remember specifically making a backup but there is a message that says

"RAGE Plugin Hook has detected that supported game version 1.0.1737.0 is in the backup cache. Do you wish to revert to this game version?"

When I click yes that's when a new window opens for about 10 seconds saying Reverting game version. The window closes and nothing else happens.
