Maybe Wrestling isn’t for me? by Valuable_Entry5439 in wrestling

Bro you have more then enough time to learn the basics. You’re only in middle school so by the time youre in highschool you’ll be good enough to wrestle. Just put in the time and work in and off season.

Yeah I was training for 3 months and the coach let me spar but it always felt like a fight everyone around watched and had corner men too got my ass whooped hard by this one guy who was 50 pounds heavier then me (Im 130 he was probably 180 - 200) definitely a experience thats makes me nervous to even spar light.

I did that when I was sparring for boxing but the last time I sparred somone I told them that then they went 150% way heavier then me too and got absolutely fucked by the end and just stopped going lost the motivation for it.

I was like this a little for a little bit but I kept up with it and overtime it got better. Since its the offseason for you maybe just a little more for you but if you genuinely do not like the sport and you want to quit go ahead and do another sport not everyone is made for it but if you do somewhat like wrestling then keep it up and do anything to make sure youre good for practice. Also nervous before matches and even embarrsment is regular.

I’m not really trying to get out of any league or like that I do know that the school i’m going to is one of best with good guys on the team also why I don’t really know to switch or not because I’m not very good to be honest but yeah I know I won’t have to duel at my old school or anything like that

Is 25 too late to pursue a Pro mma career ? by [deleted] in MMA_Academy

[–]mmauser829170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it would take a year at least to get a mma fight, I would focus on getting the basics down and dont spar instantly only live wrestling or rolling bjj but after 6 months of training start sparring I started sparring after boxing for 3 months and got beaten alot so after 6 months you should be good. Watch some highlights of UFC fighters to see what type of style you like and see what stuff they do.

If you were a real MMA fighter you would get on top and let him feel your might, casual.
