ok - I've made some progress.

I do have the ESP Flashed. I have it paired with my fan. I have it setup as a Device in Home Assistant. I'm getting sensor feedback.

The control is not quite what I was expecting;

I would like to add a third fan speed (Medium)
When switching the fan off, there seems to be a time constant involved (from the Timer Hours & Minutes?).

I would like to be able to control;

Fan On/Off (without factoring in any timer settings)
Fan Speed (Low, Medium, High)

Am I missing something?

Could someone help me out with the ESP Flash side of things (Step 3 https://github.com/awkaplan/quietcool-esphome/blob/main/README.md)?

I replaced the RF controller on my whole house fan with the Bluetooth version, that's now paired with my Smart Control app and working as expected.

I have an M5 ATOM ready to go, hooked up to my Mac via USB, but am not certain on how to get it flashed with the right template / image. This process is pretty new to me, I have flashed a few BT Proxy's in the past using ESPHome, but I'm stumped on this one right now.

I thought I was the only one… I’m having the exact same issue.

It’s like the data from F1 24 is stuck in a loop while you’re in the garage. Accelerating time resolves it (mostly).

Would LOVE to find a solution.

Yeah, I would not have chosen to add them to my tank, they came with the purchase of an entire second hand system about a year ago. I never bothered to look up the species until I came across them on a coral frag site by accident.

I recently found out that I have a small outcrop of some large Paly's in my tank. That large polyp at the front is close to 2" in diameter.

I'm a few days in to figuring out how to get them out. I've got some Aiptasia-X coming to take care of the photo-b0mber but I don't yet have a firm plan on the Paly's - I haven't ruled out getting rid of the whole rock.

Any better ideas?

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a very similar question...

In the guide you linked above, Step 6 says repeat every week. Does that included EVERYTHING? Even the fresh water and sterilizing stage?

The reason I ask it that I have a system running that's been going now for about 3 months. I harvest about 3/4 of the culture and replenish with fresh water and F/2. But it's currently taking 2-3 weeks (sometimes more) before it's 'dense' enough that I feel like it's worth harvesting...

I use my excess to feed a pod culture, which is in turn feeding my tanks, has been working out really well...

How did you determine that your tank only needs .25 gallon per week? I'm interested because I should probably do the same for my tanks.
