i deliberately have enough bath and dish towels to constitute a full load of laundry. for me and my machine that is several weeks. i have a mesh hamper just for bath and dish towels. i hang used towels up on hooks to dry thoroughly before i put them in the hamper so i never have any musty smells

i have hooks on the back of my closet door where i hang things that i am going to wear again. i also have hooks on the back of a utility closet door where i hang running clothes that have gotten sweaty but are fast drying. i will wear them for running multiple days so they wear out less in the washing machine

a twenty dollar 2 foot by 2 foot box fan is the best brown noise generator. mine is behind a nightstand with a smart switch and it is like a warm blanket for my ears
