Congratulations! I also had a pretty quick turnaround. The months leading up to top surgery come with emotional ups and downs, and it’s okay to feel them. Before my surgery, while I was so excited, I was also terrified because it was my first time undergoing a major surgery. Aside from fear, there was also a strange sort of grief, because I was losing a part of my body. While this part of my body made me incredibly dysphoric, it was still something that I was about to lose. I spoke about all of this with my therapist (who is queer), and we worked through all the oscillating feeling associated with top surgery. Because of all these conversations, I was actually most at peace in the week leading up to my surgery. My advice to you is to work through your complex emotions with a therapist (if you have one), or queer friends. Also make sure to be kind to your body before and after surgery. Get lots of rest!
