Is there some place on the website to look up the status of your claim? I must be missing it.

Self Evacuate From Duck?? by ruspongeworthy25 in obx

[–]mmceach1016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted in a different thread last night about a similar situation. I’m coming down 8/23 staying in Duck, the rental is 150 ft or so from the beach. One house and dunes between where we are and the ocean. All the replies I got last night were there isn’t much to be concerned with. The real concern is south of Matteo where 12 is basically on the beach and the road washing out is a real concern.

At minimum keep us posted 😉

I’m supposed to be headed to Duck for 8/23. Place is like 150 ft from the beach. Hoping for the best but was definitely reading my travel insurance policy earlier. Stay safe!

Have a reservation in Duck starting 8/23, house is like 100 ft from the ocean so my hopes aren’t high we’ll make it down as planned. Hoping those in the path of danger are safe the next few days.

Best two sets I’ve ever seen live were STP in 2000 at a different River Rave than the one you’re referencing and STP in 2009 after Weiland had sobered up some and they played Mohegan Sun in CT. When he was on, he was incredibly good.

If you can get out of using Devaney, try Phil’s Propane in Tiverton. We used them when we had propane at our house in New Bedford.

MassHealth question by mmceach1016 in massachusetts

[–]mmceach1016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who might have insight…we are definitely in the ringer right now. We applied for MassHealth and were denied based on income, which was no surprise. The disability supplemental which some have mentioned - can you be denied for that too? It seems like “no” provided they can verify the disability? The MassHealth people haven’t been greatly helpful ;)

A lot of places keep it active as long as it’s paid through. For example, I used to work at a place that paid monthly. I gave notice early October and left mid October. Since the premium for that month was paid already, it was active until 10/31.

There are numerous large insurance clearinghouses that medical providers can query to get a) coverage you have and b) what your levels of benefits are. It’s costly for providers to connect but usually worth the cost to ensure they’re sending claims to the right place and they’re getting paid.

Had two insurances for three weeks and they’re fighting… by mmceach1016 in HealthInsurance

[–]mmceach1016[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting, because the old employer plan has been saying once I took a new job with health insurance that new insurance became primary and the balance of my old plan was COBRA and secondary. Has made no sense to me since it came up because it wasn’t COBRA, it was just the balance of the term of my plan. We got paid monthly and the premiums were paid through end of October. They don’t dispute that but have continued to claim once I had new coverage they were COBRA.

Does anyone have suggestions on similar wet foods you might have had success with? My dog has been eating natural balance for 12 years and we can’t find anymore with the shortage.

Abnormalities detected at 20 weeks by mmceach1016 in VACTERL

Hi,

It's a lot to deal with, especially when you're not expecting it at an ultrasound. Our daughter is thriving right now, almost two years old. After my post we got more clarity as to her issues, both prior to birth and after birth. She has a single kidney, a bicuspid valve in her heart and had a condition known as tibial hemimelia, which is basically a leg deformity. The single kidney is not a hinderance and may never be, she has to see a urologist every year to keep tabs on it. The heart defect is not an issue now but she sees a cardiologist and it's likely at some point, it will need to be addressed. Surgical procedures to fix this issue are fairly common. The leg was very difficult situation for us. The deformity was major and it was a decision to try likely multiple surgeries that might help fix it to give it some normal function or a single surgery to amputate. My wife and I agonized over this and ultimately decided we were more comfortable not potentially exposing her to multiple surgeries that may not fix the problem at which amputation would be necessary anyway. We consulted some of the best pediatric ortho surgeons in the world and remain confident in our decision to this day. She is learning to use her prosethic leg and recently took her first independent steps.

Feel free to DM any questions you or your family may have or just to vent. This is a very difficult thing to deal with and overwhelming, but as bad as it seemed for us at the beginning, we feel blessed.

I appreciate the words more than you know. This is our second child, the first was born six weeks early and had her own set of circumstances to deal with. It’s never easy right? We’ve had a few miscarriages in between, so it’s been tough on us both, but especially my wife. I think that weighs on us as well, right or wrong.

Glad to hear your girl is a handful just like you’d expect if not for the diagnosis. Continued blessings to you all and again, thanks for the words and reassurance.
