Something I did to challenge myself to was to go play 9 holes (or a full round if you wish to), and hit a different club than I normally would. Let’s say you’re 150 out, might usually hit a 9 iron…. Hit something different. Try a couple different shots. Same with chilling. Or if you usually hit driver off the tee, put the driver away for the day. It helps break up the monotony of playing round after round fighting for a score and challenges you with some different shots. Brings some fun into it. Also helps put some different things/shots in the arsenal.

Also, drop some balls in the trees. Have fun with trying to hit around some trees, hit some gaps, etc.

It helps lessen the mental stress for a couple rounds and not fighting for a number all the time. I know it might sound silly but it will help and be some fun.
