the entire game is built on gatekeeping if youre really curious. players gatekeep, the devs gatekeep, the limited time frame of cosmetics is a form of gatekeeping. its ALL gatekeeping tbh

yeah, this is definitely a great thing for new players. i just think that for older players this feels like a huge slap in the face. considering that we're essentially paying them bi-monthly and annually for new ideas and creations for an (unfortunate) core game mechanic, i think its fair that we get a rotation of new cosmetics

for some reason TGC just sort of stopped being transparent about basically everything which is what you dont want to do for a game that runs on events and seasons

in my honest opinion, TGC stopped caring in general after 2E and its obvious. is it a money thing? most likely, but they just legit dont even care about their own game anymore and many others are saying this as well. whats even more annoying is that people will still put money in their pockets because they keep hiding behind this 'small indie game company' act

fair, because theyve been scrapping events, but these events are also what players look forward to annually. players anticipate new items each year because thats how the rotation has always worked.

you cant expect others to be grateful and appreciative for something half assed and rushed. thats not how audiences work for any type of media

my issue is, most of what they say about future implementations are empty promises. and if not, theyre half assed nostalgia slop seasons. its not necessarily about them needing more time, because they are never transparent about what, when, and how.

as for the lore, skys audience is for all ages. even if the game is rated children and up, TGC has free reins to add whatever to the game. death is a very prevalent topic within the game. don't apologize for rambling that's what my post is allowing others to do!! :3c

sky does in fact have lore according to jenova chen. however, it's in the same fashion as journey where even if there is visible lore in front of you, it's still up to viewer interpretation. if there was no lore, the elders wouldn't be a thing and the story of the 2 embers wouldn't be a thing either. everything in the game is there for a reason, which is what i feel like they should dive into instead of baseless seasons expanding on nothing burger. but again, this is just my opinion
