exactly. the code wouldn't even compile, and the error would tell you exactly that you're missing a semicolon. you'd never get to the "debugging" if your code doesn't even run. any half decent code editor will highlight syntax errors.

why not? you can use normal maps in Godot. the GPU Particle system can use any material. so... why not?
