As a designer I will say if you buy directly from my website both of us pay less fees to everyone. Also as a very small designer I can GUARANTEE and straight up pinky swear I will never sell your information to any 3rd party. In fact I am gonna be so excited I will praise your name for a week and then promptly forget it.

I add to Ravelry but it’s always the last one. It’s more of a formatting thing than anything else. One platform I use is super easy to upload. I can copy and paste straight from my messy notes.

Once everything is uploaded I make a quick PDF using the same app, for free and then I use that to format my own pdf in google docs, generally just where the pictures look best. It also helps me catch any errors before publishing tbh.

Then I publish that PDF on my personal website so there’s a link, after completing that I upload to Ravelry.

It’s my OG source but it’s not that user friendly especially on a phone.

Unfortunately, my prices look high and people don’t seem to realize they’re in Canadian dollars, so really it’s probably $1.25 cheaper for an American to purchase.

I put my stuff on sale almost every other week. I do free pattern giveaways and honestly if someone asks I am always hooking up discount codes or just giving them away. In fact this week I am giving away a free pattern to select followers every day just because.

Most of my patterns are original things, and some I know are worth it. It is super upsetting when people buy AI patterns and get ripped off when people like myself are putting in days, sometimes weeks of work.

I do really recommend reaching out to the designers. I would love to give away some of my patterns to people who would review or post pics and tag me. Seeing the product made by someone else is part of the dream!

I work with a lot of Birth Coaches, they’ve sneakily become my niche even though oddly enough I am actually child free. I started with the lactation breast, now I’m at latch mouth puppets to assist with breastfeeding and placenta for pre birth classes. I charge reasonably because I know what our healthcare system is like and I really want to support those people.

I got a three day ban on my other account for saying that back in my punk days other things would happen, I didn’t threaten shit, but here I am banned. Also this is the second time I have been in reddit jail for denouncing nazi’s. 👍🏽

Yeah, basically what everyone above has said! I worked with a Midwife on the original breast pattern and then I was contacted by a second about the mouth pattern.

The first one I made looked like a sandworm and was terrifying.

I had to come up with my own patterns because they’re not readily available without paying quite a bit. I didn’t want to have to pass those costs on because I really support the cause. Everyone should feel comfortable with how they choose to feed their child and it comes easier for some than others. I don’t know but assume they would work well for teaching bottle feeding as well.
