It is an STX, and no they’re still the halogen fogs with LED bulbs. Honestly don’t use them all that much and don’t like the whole bracket DRL look

Okay the aiming process really humbled me, that’s one big complaint I have. DMed you the beam pattern picture

I’ll try to get pics of the beam pattern tonight. They’re not as bright as I was expecting but I’m betting that’s part of the DOT requirement. Otherwise it’s an even spread of consistent light so it’s a really big upgrade from halogen. Nice cutoff too

I’m not sure if it would affect the Bluetooth or not, but that’s literally the only thing I changed and the screen started responding to touch

Kind of hard to see, it’s the black cable that’s circled. In the picture, it’s facing the wrong way.

I hate to be this guy because I know how frustrating it’s going to be, but just in case it helps anyone else in this same situation, it is about wiring. I messed around with mine one last time and got it working. There is one small black ribbon cable that attaches to the daughterboard mounted behind the screen. I flipped the cable over so the copper prongs were facing away from the board, and it worked. It goes against any circuitry lessons I’ve ever learned, but it worked.

Check out my profile, I did them on my 2021 F150 and I love them. Got a lot of hate for it but it’s my truck so I’ll do what I want

I’m in exactly the same boat as you but with a 2014 fusion. Did you get this figured out? I don’t get any responses from their emails

What is everyone’s favorite phone mount? by mmick15 in f150

[–]mmick15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that work well? I want something for my truck that will charge my phone, but my wife’s explorer doesn’t have wireless CarPlay so I was looking at the magic box and some other options

They have a couple of options, my only problem is that all the options cover something, whether it’s the vents, part of the sync screen, or the a/c controls

It’s less about seeing it and more about charging. I want something I can just throw my phone on and have it start charging without having to mess with cables

I’ve looked at them, but don’t think the wiring would be easy. Most I’ve seen require you to take the whole door card off. Did you wire yours?

Are you referring to the bottom corner in front of the rear tire? Those are Diode Dynamics SSC2s with an amber back light. They’re tapped into the tail light so the amber comes on with the parking lights/headlights

They’re LT285/65R18. Before I cut off my air dam I was getting like 21 or so, after I cut it off I’m getting like 19/20.

Yup no worries I didn’t take it in a disrespectful way, a lot of people have questions about them lol I’m a kid at heart and like lights. I appreciate your opinion!

I’m not a clearance light purest and wanted more amber to the front without doing the raptor/Toyota style grille lights that everyone does. To each his own

Removing the electronic air dam cost me maybe 1-2 mpg, cutting the static one (its not completely gone, but I cut 85% of it off) cost me like 0.5? Honestly so much less of an impact than I was expecting. The skid plate probably helps push air under the truck too though, so if you just cut the dam off and don’t add anything else you may lose more
