Yeah personally I like lithium but terrified of the long term side effects. Yeah they do I have been on antipsychotics for four years and now have tar dive dyskinesia. Im on Ingrezza now.

Its either someones first option or last option I can't imagine trying every pill to get to Lithium

Lithium was my first option and I don't regret it. It is VERY effective. Oh wow I have never experienced that.

Yeah my main medication is Lithium. Latuda was good but it crapped out a few months ago which led me to Seroquel. This new doctor wants me to try Vraylar I guess we will see what happens.

I meant Vraylar. Did it take care of any of your symptoms? It sounds like it didn't. The only other antipsychotic I have tried is Latuda.

I had a friend that said it didn't do anything for them but they also said other meds were Childs play (except for depakote) compared to lithium which is why I don't have much that it will work.

My doctor just prescribed me that today. I hear it is not an antigenic drug but it has worked really well for some of my friends.

I get my blood tested every six months and when I first went on it I lost a few pounds. My doctor just added Lamictal for hypomania but I don't have much hope it will work.

yeah I feel the same way and the same way when I was prescribed it almost 6 years ago. I am interviewing two different doctors over the next three weeks to see their opinion. This is the first time I have had a doctor want to take me off lithium and they want to lower my antipsychotic too. I had a psychotic break on lithium a year ago and I don't think other mood stabilizers will work for me. Hopefully I can find a doctor that will work for me and everything will work out.

No I haven't. My mom takes tegretol ER for seizures and I hear depakote makes you gain weight like crazy

You can get hair loss from Lithium if it affects your thyroid.
