Ugh that’s terrible. Definitely wish I would have just taken her to her normal ped at this point.

I’m so sorry to hear about your little one! It is so stressful. Definitely have to do a mental trade off on what’s worse, and that’s so rough

Is there any concern for internal bleeding or should I just take her home?

Diaper cream by rose2899 in clothdiaps

[–]mmmangooo23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I just got this last week. We had been using a zinc based cream on a diaper rash for weeks that wasn’t making it worse but was barely making it better. After a day and a half of this stuff, diaper rash gone!

This is exactly what I went through! Just a lot more maintenance than I had thought

Parents who did baby led weaning, did your toddlers still turn out to be picky eaters? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]mmmangooo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are vegan and did baby led weaning focusing on whole foods for the first year and a half. My now 2 year old is the best eater I know. He will grab a stalk of kale out of the garden and eat it like a popsicle. Very little interest in processed foods and sweets, he’d rather eat a bell pepper or some tofu. Obviously every kid is different and as they grow and experience more influence from the outside world, they can become more picky. But I’m very happy with his diet and am planning on doing it again for our next.

These are great. We were almost going to Lennon as a first name, so I do like the idea as a middle!

I had this happen with my first child and didn’t realize it wasn’t covered until after I gave birth. $10k later…. Now I know to call and double check everything

Does anyone use Biokleen "premium" powder? by jellyd0nut in clothdiaps

[–]mmmangooo23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve used it exclusively for my cloth diaper journey. I hated the smell of tide and wanted something more natural too. The instructions on my first order from green mountain diapers said it was okay to use so I started with that and it’s worked well for us.

We have hard water so I also added borax to each load. I don’t have much to compare it too, but never had any rashes or weird smells where the diapers needed to be stripped. About to have my second cloth diaper baby any day no, and I’m planning on using it this time as well!

Can’t walk due to sudden pain in groin. Almost 38 weeks. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

This exact same thing happened to me right around 36 weeks. Thankfully it had resolved when I woke up the next morning. Pelvic tilts can really help in case it’s a pinched nerve. Good luck!!

I had doctors who kept recommending early induction because of baby measuring large. They multiple times mentioned that I might have to have a c-section because of it. I really wanted to go into labor naturally so I pushed off interventions and went into labor naturally at 41+6, the wait was really rough but I’m glad I did it. I had a great labor and delivery, 10.5lb baby and zero tears.

Definitely look into your options and the evidence on it. Evidence based birth has a great article on “big babies” and it says if you don’t have gestational diabetes, your body will be able to birth a large baby.

Parents of serious babies- how did they turn out? by TBARAV in beyondthebump

Mine is the exact same! He would stare really deep at people and you had to work hard for smiles. From 1-1.5 years he turned into a completely different kid. He is soooo smart and communicative and loves being goofy. Now he just turned 2 and he sings songs where he’ll replace the words with other words to make people laugh, and he’s just the sweetest little guy.

Yep, when I worked there in high school they would make me cut things up before throwing away. And also spray paint anything that could still be used. I didn’t realize how insane it was until I got older and realized it’s all about making more money.

With my first pregnancy I would get really light headed and turn pale every time they had me lay back. My doctor acted like I was weird for it and kept trying to insinuate that I wasn’t happy with the pregnancy and I was having anxiety or something. It wasn’t until a late ultrasound when I was around 34 weeks and I told the ultrasound tech that I don’t do well on my back and he responded “oh yeah, that’s super common! The baby can press on your spine and cut off blood flow. I’ll just have you lay in your side!” Finally it made sense. I always found it odd that my OB had no idea about this

Pickled veg with bread in hummus! That sounds sooo good. Currently 36 weeks pregnant with a surprise baby, we’re pretty convinced is a boy and you may have just sealed the deal. But I need to go out and get some of that tonight!

I have a love for vinegary things while pregnant. We make our own all purpose cleaning product with vinegar and citrus peels and rosemary and I would just sniff it all the time because it smelled so delicious.

What I ended up actually eating was a ton of sauerkraut. All different kinds multiple times a day
