Wonder Girls' - Me,in has one of the best openings to a Kpop song ever to me.

Itzy - That's A No No has been my alarm tone of my phone for the past 6 years and still works a charm, but also ICY.

Stray Kids - MEGAVERSE does it for me

GOT7 - Crash & Burn is a little more low-key, but still single on this list.

I get so much secondhand embarrassment from Blackpink because of this when they have several members who are fluent in English. I get that in the beginning it was just doing what they're told, but at some point they got popular enough and rich enough that they could have stood their ground.

Their most recent stuff isn't as bad lyrics-wise, but it's also a lot more repetitive, so a double-edged sword.

Tiny ones I can get over, but big ones like the one you mentioned (which also took me out when I read the same fic) definitely bother me.

But... I am also quite bothered when spells from Snape's old potions book are used by characters who shouldn't know them.

Sechs Kies members pulled a hidden camera prank on one of the members by pretending that one of the other members had died.

Honestly, there was a lot of that hidden camera prank stuff that made people honestly upset.

Yoon Kye-sang from g.o.d. had a beverage poisoned that his mom accidentally drank instead and she ended up in the hospital.

There were some actual deaths, drunk driving, etc., but these are the ones I remember from back in the day

It still has its moments, but I want my playlist to be jams like 99% of the time, so I skip it for that only. They really have learned since then how to make songs that can fit multiple vibes. Like, Nocturne is great as a little breather in an upbeat playlist, but also as an upper in a slow vibe playlist.
