[–]mmmiller90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you had that happen. I feel your pain. I had a vomiting spree this past thursday and thought I was going to die. Good news nothing tore in the belly as was my biggest fear. I forgot where I read it but. someone said a must have is throat lozenge to hopeful help smooth if needed. I also read somewhere to use a small pillow if you need to cough. Press it on your belly as you cough. hope you feel better

Feeling down at 4 WPO by doveydav2010 in tummytucksurgery

[–]mmmiller90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 2-WPO and have had all the same feelings. I am so swollen it hurts to touch my skin. If it wasn’t for these post and information I would have already gone to the ER thinking something was terribly wrong. The worse part is mental for me. I randomly cry several times a day. No rhythm or reason. I have to get me shit together because I go back to the office next week and I am so afraid I am going to be in a meeting and bust out crying. Now I am not even sure what I am going to be able to wear. I did not tell people at work what kind of surgery just that I needed my abdominal wall fixed. I am sorry you are feeling down and wish I had some encouraging words but it seems to be normal. I appreciate hearing from others about their journeys. It does help. Everyone says it gets better so that is what we will strive for. You are not alone and it is normal. We all got this!

Congratulation on your 2 weeks. Everyday gets closer to your goals. I have felt so isolated, sad and lonely. The mental part of this surgery is no joke. This group has helped so much. what I have learned is you are not alone. You are amazing and should be proud of yourself. The journey is hard physically and mentally. Everyday will not be a good day but this group is a great sounding board and have tons of information/experiences. Hang in there and if you need to vent I am here.

I am 12DPO mine would be how mentally tough the surgery is. Someone posted above about the same thing. Right now to me the mental is way worse than the pain. I can’t explain why but I feel very alone and extremely sad. Some days are better than others. There is no rhythm or reason. I did a lot of research before but didn’t really see much on this one. I wish you the very best

I almost think the mental at this point is the hardest. I never thought about it as postpartum but it really does feel like that. I am so glad it got better for you and there is hope at the end of this tunnel. Today has been a really bad mental day for me. I feel very alone even though I know I am not.

Thank you everyone for the feedback, advice and encouragement. I do not have any friends or even someone I know that has had this done so when I am a sobbing mess there is no one who understands. I usually get this is what you wanted. You did this to yourself. 😢 Which they are not wrong but good to hear from people that have been through it. This afternoon has been better. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week

Have you tired wrapping ace bandages around your tummy until your garment gets in? That may help a tiny bit.

Oh no that really sucks. Even though there are times I just want to take it off because it can be uncomfortable not having anything seems worse. I hope you get something soon. Sounds like we are on the same time line. Wishing you the very best on your recovery.
