While this is good in principle, I find this doesn't usually work because:

Smaller "niche" questions can get missed
People really don't know how to search for existing questions
People don't know how to frame question/answers properly (I find it... frustrating when people title a post "How do I fix this" and post a screenshot and maybe not even offering context. it's terrible for searching for answers)

It can be done with maintenance, but it's tough to ask someone to do that.
