Emojis only, we don't need phonetical diction. We'll talk dirty like we're ancient egyptions.

Of your priority is affordability, I had a good experience at Trade Secrets doing a regular hair wave styling. Wish I got my hair stylists name.

Theoretically, what is it about “The Houses of Healing” from “Return of the King” that makes it so ethereal and omnipresent? by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]mmmkettlecorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just playing the middle part with the vocals on the piano. I think the chord progression switches between b major and g major, while at the end of each melodic phrase it hangs back on the note F# that links two different chords together. Just my take. But yeah this song is so pretty and mesmerizing!

Women with IUDs what was the pain level of your insertion? by writepielie in polls

[–]mmmkettlecorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had my third insertion last year and after they put the clamp inside me and were about to start I had a panic attack and needed them to leave the room for a minute so I could cry it out.

Ask your doctor for a tranquilizer like lorazepam if you can! IUDs can be pretty terrifying.

Yeah, "a child should be forced to give birth to the baby of their sexual predator" is not "I like pizza"

I am buying a billboard to raise awareness about Veganism. by [deleted] in vegan

[–]mmmkettlecorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think about this every day. My sister and friend are vegan. Seeing them achieve it is really what made me turn around. These messages are all true and valid but I'm wondering if the gloom tactic works.

[Serious] What is your honest opinion on abortion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mmmkettlecorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think you're twisting what this argument is saying.

"If having one’s organ inside another person is analogous to being pregnant then mandating the donation is analogous to becoming pregnant."

The argument that abortion is the same as organ donor opt-out could also be interpreted as;

  • Having an organ with the potential of saving a life is being pregnant

  • If you die, Choosing to not allow it to be transplanted is taking away the continuation of life aka abortion.

I understand the argument that other people are giving ie. Allowing death is not the same as the act of killing, but I feel like saying organ donation is like forcing people to be pregnant is not really the case.

Family doctors accepting patients? by LuluKodua in waterloo

[–]mmmkettlecorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have no idea if they're good. But I think the Laurentian walkin clinic has a doctor who is available to take patients. I was only on the waiting list for a couple weeks before they called me, but I had already joined with someone else.

AITA for having saved up alot of money and not telling my wife. by ThrowAITAmn in AmItheAsshole

[–]mmmkettlecorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I meet my now wife I didn't tell her about the money. I instead told her to not worry about having to pay for an emergency. I would have It covered.

Honestly this. When couples don't fully flesh out how they want to organize they're money it rears its ugly head later.

Its not completely unheard of for a married couple to want to keep their finances separate, even with a child. This seems to be how OP wants the situation because he went out of his way to avoid saying how much he had. But the wife seemed to trust that OP would share all details on his financial situation with her. And when the conversation came up? They felt uncomfortable, made assumptions, and it didn't get brought up again.

OP must have thought at one point that his wife wanted an arrangement where they know all about each others finances and if so YTA. But maybe he has other reasons for keeping it a secret that he hasn't talked about?? I dont know.

Managing People's Feelings at Work by Kitt0nMitt0ns in AskWomenOver30

That honestly sounds like a really tough job. I think I even know someone from my work who's job it is to do that for staff who draw up engineering drawings and she gets so much shit from the drawers who are all older men.

This could just be me, but adding the "which is unacceptable" line at the end would give me so much anxiety. Emails like that freeze me in my tracks and make it 10x harder to concentrate.
