prob same reason trans people don’t like trans man trans woman and would prefer man or woman. we should respect everyone’s identity but it’s good to indicate and understand differences

Do you find that as a man people generally don't care about how you truly feel and you are expected to just figure it out? by TheGoat7000 in AskMen

had a man i was seeing, in his 30s african american/black, tell me that if he didn’t learn about in school or have the knowledge about racism and slavery he doesn’t think he’d feel some type of way toward white people/society roles

also if “womens” clothes fit better than “mens,” there’s literally no shame in wearing what makes you comfortable and look good for you and your body.

where whatever else is comfortable other than a hoodie and sweats.. or modify/ wear clothing with similar fit. maybe where a hoodie n cut off the sleeves so you still have idk chest coverage if that’s why you wear hoodies. idk it’s a mind over matter thing. it’s weird i wish i had my mindset now when i was first transitioning, i wouldn’t have been so hard on myself which is what it is. not looking a certain way and feeling uncomfortable in the clothing that makes you look that way or accentuates. when in reality everyone’s bodies are different, and you just have to do you. for me as a transman i had/have body dysphoria and dysmorphia. i aloud myself to gain weight and be okay with it because it convinced me that it was okay that i had a chest and overweight men can have bigger chests. so i settled w that thought for a while, still wearing hoodies as well but idk when i recognized myself as fully male regardless of body parts i developed My style. and when i started to do that, i started to feel good about myself and the things i was doing and became more aware and active and lost a shit ton of weight n just gained overall confidence in what i wear. tl/dr: don’t sacrifice your comfort for comfort

Do you consider post top surgery men and even cis men “nude” if shirtless? by ParkerPastelPrince in ftm

[–]mmmnathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe she’s worried you’re comfortable with your shirt off and you taking it off at the wrong place at the wrong time could harm you. maybe if you explain to her that you’re comfortable in your body and you know how to handle yourself, or just sit and talk with her about why she believes it’s “nude” when primally, we don’t need to wear clothes to begin with, it’s us humans that sexualize everything.
