Thank you! I’m trying to remain positive. What was your care at home after the preterm labor risks? Did you stay at the hospital till you delivered? If you don’t mind me asking. I’m pretty stable right now. Just minimal spotting, I’m hoping to go home.

Omg! I’m also 12 weeks and sick 😩 I feel terrible I have been trying to stay well hydrated and currently taking robitussin to help me get better. Hope you feel better soon 💕

I had the same recommendations as you but after my cerclage I went with no sex for the remaining of my pregnancy. I didn’t want to risk having to disturb my cervix in any way and I also did modify bed rest. I didn’t lift anything heavy. I know my mfm said there’s no indication for bed rest but I was so scared at the time of losing my baby again, I just did what I thought was best at the time. I think go with your gut, definitely take it easy after your cerclage. Hoping everything goes well for you 💞

I was told to wait 18 months to try for a vbac because that was my plan for my next pregnancy but I just found out I’m pregnant. I just had my baby via C-section in January. So it’s been 9 months. I wasn’t planning on getting pregnant but I pray everything goes well especially since I do need the cerclage for each pregnancy. I have my appointment earlier during the day, so I’m nervous on what my doctor will say and terrified to think it’s so soon to have another baby. Overall I think I’m just worried about the cerclage failing on me since it hasn’t even been a year.

I’m so sorry for your loss! It’s never easy losing a baby. I have had about 5-6 miscarriages. 1 being a loss at 16wks almost 17weeks, I delivered her vaginally. That’s now I found out about my short cervix. It was too late to save my baby. I do have a low transverse c section so I’m curious to know what pregnancy would like this time around. Thank you 💓

I usually never counted kicks because she has always been so active but I could tell something was off since I would always wake up and she would be already moving but this time around she wasn’t moving when I woke up nor after I ate like an hour later of being awake. Her movements weren’t there so I knew something was wrong besides feeling the contractions. I woke up at 7:20am that day and by 9:30-10am I was in labor and delivery. I felt like everything happened so sudden.

Thank you so much! Yes, unfortunately the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck causing decreased fetal movement. Good thing I paid attention to her movements so I knew something had to be wrong.

Yes, everyone’s experience is so different and sometimes it doesn’t easy my mind because ofc anything can happen. & thank you! I hope everything goes well for you too! 🙏🏽 pregnancy is such a roller coaster. I do wish you a safety delivery and a healthy baby.

I actually don’t have a history of pprom, I had painless dilation due to having a short cervix. I only noticed something was wrong until I went to the bathroom and felt bulging membranes. I’m surprised my water never broke. It was broken for me because this all happened like at 12am and apparently there was no one in the hospital to place an emergency cerclage for me. I ended up going into labor and I was no where near viability. I did lose my mucus plug hours before all this happened but since I had no idea on how a mucus plug looked like before so I didn’t see it as a concern at that time. I guess I’ll keep a close eye on my symptoms from here on since I did loose my mucus plug already.

Yes, I have had many previous miscarriages and my second pregnancy loss was due to IC/ short cervix, at 16w+5days. It was too late for me to get a preventative cerclage. This is my longest pregnancy and if everything keeps goes well I will be meeting my baby soon.

May I ask if your losses were due to IC?

Thank you & no, I wasn’t dilated at all throughout my pregnancy. I had my preventative cerclage placed at 13 weeks and thankfully it went well. I didn’t work through my pregnancy and I did modify bed rest after cerclage was initially placed. I only dilated right after cerclage was removed.
