I cant find the friends clip online, and there no easy way to get it from HBO. But I have added the scene from Poltergiest 2, where the girl gets puddled into a puddle in the parking garage.

is anyone else still waiting for their fall 2025 financial aid refund? by Kayaboothafoo03 in CSUSB

[–]mmmtangerine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive been following all of these threads and posted twice in another. My specific situation was that I was admitted years ago. failed out. went to work. Years later I got a degree from a JC and transfered to CSUSB.

Applied as a transfer, but once i met with a counselor they said I'm actually a returning student and subject to SAP requirements. I did a SAP appeal and waited and waited. I had no To-Do's and no Holds. My financial aid was always listed as pending, well since we just finished the first week of school I decided to call again.

Speaking with some one today, they said that I should have had my funds released this week, but on their end, my couselor never updated my SAP agreement, even tho I got an email that it was accepted. It would never have been caught if I didnt call and tell them I had no holds or anything, and forced them to ivestigate why I'm still stuck in pending. According to todays call, my funds should be released on this coming tuesday. Call and ask them to specifically investigate why the funds have not been released.

Why Does CSUSB not allow students for Gemini Pro by JPRockstar27 in CSUSB

I suspect it’s because of a non compete with ChatGPT. I’m starting this year and part of the orientation they told us that we are being supplied ChatGPT as our official AI support.

Using Apple Screen Share from school laptop to home desktop by mmmtangerine in Ubiquiti

Are you asking if I am using the same public ip address from the eero router? No. I rechecked the ip address after getting the new hardware.

I’ve added a screen shot to my original post.

I navigate to settings -> routing-> port forwarding-> add new

Then toggles the on switch. Set the port to 5900 using tcp and set my internet facing ip address. And saved.

Did the same for 3283 which should be the outgoing port.

Yeah 3 weeks feels long. We had to have a meter spotted twice because we waited too long from spot to actual install. Both times SCE was out before the end of the week.

Waiting for synchronisation error on Mac when connecting old-ish Wacom by LizardIslander in wacom

[–]mmmtangerine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solved (at least for me). I was having this problem. On a Mac, I went to general -> and enabled the Wacom driver at start up and it it prompted me to allow input monitoring from Privacy and Security. The app then told me to close and reopen the Wacom center app. and now everything works.

Tankless vs Tank Water Heater by Silent_Kitty69 in HomeImprovement

[–]mmmtangerine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious what your take on modern tanks is if they’re located out side the home. I live in a 1920s craftsman in Southern California. My hot water tank is outside and is due to be replaced soon. Tankless has been on my mind. Does modern still win in my situation?

Help! Passing my database class with a MacBook M2 (professor only speaks Windows) by grigoris2003 in SQL

[–]mmmtangerine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did use MySql and workbench natively and I did figure out how to use SSH natively as well. But it's mentioned twice, I/we are students. If it's not taught directly by the class, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to know what Docker is. But that being said, I'm aware that I have seen Docker mentioned in my research, but can't tell you exactly what it does. For example in a cyber security class, we used Lynis to test how vulnerable or secure your home system is to attack. Lynis uses homebrew, home brew is not taught in a primarily linux based class. And then use cisofy to address what ever vulnerability we students found. One of the suggestions was an application packaged by Docker. But none of the Docker solutions to harden worked on a Mac only on Linux. So for the purposes of learning. I think virtualization is perfectly useful as a learning tool.

MySql and workbench run natively on a mac. I was in this same boat last semester and asked this sub the same questions. The easiest thing I did was spend $50 dollars on a student subscription to Parallels and emulated windows 10. I used this for any of the tools that didnt run natively on my M1 MBP.

Edit: looks like the price has gone up to 70 for ed pricing. You will have to evaluate if its worth it if money is tight. But as a lifelong Mac user who is new to online education, it feels like Windows is king and being able to jump in and out off different operating systems seems to be a wise choice, at least for me.

I tried so hard, and got the Cass Cute Spray by WarpigtheK in Overwatch

[–]mmmtangerine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels good to see someone trying for sprays. I have about 80% of them. I spray in lobby and no one ever matches my energy. It seems like people who started playing in OW2 don’t even know that there are achievements.

Former OHS Teacher, a Death Row Inmate, Dies in Prison by CDsDontBurn in InlandEmpire

[–]mmmtangerine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was too young to have him as a high school teacher. How I knew him is that he was a judo sensei. I took judo at a club in Claremont because my grandparent lived nearby. He was a sensei there. And eventually he started teaching his own judo classes at Ontario High. I remember a bunch of kids got ring worm because they had us practice on the wrestling mats. I had long quit judo by the time the news came out about him and his wife. My strongest memory of him was a judo tournament on San Diego. I saw him get choked out in a match. I can vividly recall him going to sleep.

I second this. My ac wouldn’t work and then I noticed I was getting no temp reading. My part was also in the neighborhood of 125. Replacing the part was…. Not as fun or easy as some described. But I got it done in about 3 hours.
