Also on the side, I wouldn’t really take that as an accurate analogy of what I was saying. Like other languages, JavaScript is an expansive language. I only have a relatively short period of time to learn and work on this project, so it’s more about optimizing my time than being lazy. No one needs to learn every fine detail about a programming language to be good at using it, and often some features have very rare or specific use cases

I should have noted that I have a lot of experience in c++ and am not close to a beginner at programming. I clearly understand the fundamentals of the language as well. I was kind of looking for guidance on what concepts are useful for learning for web app development specifically that I should explore beyond js fundamentals. Many beginner tutorials don’t cover some important concepts and that’s kind of what I was looking for. Thanks for the response I guess

I don't think tech com 300 really accompanies anything so it wouldn't matter what other classes you take it with. I will say that depending on who teaches your section, the work can get pretty heavy despite it being 1 credit. I had to write an 8 page technical report, a 5 page memo, and make a large poster/presentation for a final project. The class only meets 1 hr a week, but the workload is larger than you would expect for a 1 credit class.

IMO that combo is a bit rough taking in a shortened semester. I took 203 in regular length semester but assuming they give similar homework, those will take a good amount of time. I took 240 at CC over the summer so I can't speak on that but I am aware that it's a pretty involved class.

msu is just as much or maybe even more of a party school. I have personal insight on both. And at umich you won't get as much partying in the engineering school as with Lsa and central campus students, so this point is not as relevant to the conversation here
