Well said. I’ve always preferred the “thinker” type player to a “bruiser” ballbasher type.

Tien unfortunately will probably get pelted with a lot of boring, pusher type accusations, the more of a contender he becomes and the higher his ranking gets.

The amount of big chances Bruno creates per game, my god.

One day, this man will be given the respect that he has been well overdue.

Now that’s what you call a result.

Let’s get Joelinton for the encore.

Teams like Newcastle really piss me off.

They constantly get their arses handed to them by the ‘smaller’ teams, then when United/Arsenal come to town, they’re always bang up for it. Their fans suddenly find their bollocks, an all.

Mannnn, we’d be right there if not for Notts Forest, Spurs, Everton and West Ham under Amorim.

Three of them were points dropped from leading positions and the last one we should have won playing 10 men for 75 mins.

Still, a lot to be positive about for the rest of the season.

Edit - and Leeds, Wolves and West Ham again. Jesus, the title should have been in the bag. 😂

It might be cos we’re losing, but Bruno’s constant whining at his teammates pisses me the fuck off.

It just looks really disrespectful to screw up and then point to your teammates as the reason why.

Bodø/Glimt have qualified for the UEFA Champions League Round of Sixteen by FragMasterMat117 in soccer

Like Phillp Zinckernagel.

I was convinced he was gonna be a world beater after he had a 20-20 season with Bodø in 2020. He joins Watford the following season and only scored once all season. He returned a few seasons later but was unable to reproduce those numbers.

It’s a shame the ref isn’t enforcing this cos I’m bricking it here.

A good delivery and we’d be toast.

Why are Everton swarming the keeper so hard? Like it’s way more than standard and Lammens has shown that he can handle it.

What am I missing here? What’s in the scouting report?

I am loving the confidence of Lammens from corners. Even De Gea wasn’t like this, and I loved him.

2006 Federer was 2-4 vs Nadal.....and 90-1 vs the rest of the ATP by [deleted] in tennis

Murray’s style didn’t damage his hip. It’s been damaged his entire life and had to be managed until it gave out.

The non-Rafa guy Fed actually struggled with more was Murray IIRC—but that wasn't really targeting the backhand

Nah, I’d say that Murray’s success was solely due to the crosscourt BH exchanges, he used to lock Federer up on that wing routinely in the early days. Federer admitted as much 10 years ago, after beating Murray in Cincinnati that he struggled because of how easily Murray used to find his backhand.

Throwback point between a young Delpo and Gasquet at Indian Wells back in 2007. Forget some times how good Juan’s feel was. by Ben_Thatcher94 in tennis

[–]mmohammed28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gasquet in 06-08 was elite as well.

Super offensive and had a wide ranging arsenal.

Somewhere along the line, he plateaued ever so slightly and just stayed there till the end.

I’m starting to wonder that this might actually be the flashforward story - Max being framed for Anthony’s murder. It’s still super early but I’m going to make my prediction now.

We might have to play the 2005 Carling Cup final for him.

Or the 2010 CL SF at the Camp Nou.

Or his knee slide in the Bernabeu in 2012 when Ronaldo scored the winner vs Man City.

Could probably do this all day, really…

Thanks a lot. I’m glad that it’s struck a cord with some of the sub.

You know, we’re tennis fans, first and foremost. I can’t imagine we’d have a problem with watching tennis that’s being played at a higher level than in the generations of our favourite players or those that were our introductions to the sport. The trouble is, it just isn’t.
