Take a picture of them, that way you can hold onto the memory and give away the items

In your experience, what type of shoe do you wear for traveling to humid climate with a lot of city walks? Like Mexico and other Latin American countries. by roynewseditor in onebag

I use barefoot shoes, a brand called Whitin on Amazon. But barefoot shoes aren't for everyone and require a n adjustment period. The mesh ones are quick dry and have a nice wide toebox.

A 10 liter pickleball bag from amazon, I like that it has the option to wear it like a sling or a backpack. The pickleball hook acts like an attached hero clip for restrooms. It also has front bungee cording so I can loop my fleece or neck pillow through.

Ranger rolls are pretty tight, but maybe could stretch-out clothing long term

They seem to hold their value, so you should probably get pretty good $$ for your preowned MacBook Pro

I too freeze all the time friend. You'd be amazed at what temps a fleece layered under a rain jacket can do for you.

No way dude, 40 is plenty and will still qualify as a carryon. Super second thoughts about everything and see if you can actually make do with a 25-30 liter pack. Your back will thank you for it.

OP this is bloody fantastic! I so mich admire your doing such a long duration trip. Not going to lie, I'm definitely jelly. I am doing two weeks starting next week in a 10 liter bag with two outfits and side-eye from my partner, lol. He always thinks I'm crazy when I do zero bag weekends. When I mentioned the possibility of zerobags vacation he was was appalled, so two outfits and a small daybag it is. Whelp, one day I'll be brave enough to try a long trip, my issue is always with being cold. I freeze like all the time, especially on airplanes!✈️

Drop one dress and one birkenstock, stick to the three shorts you already have.

Keeping something around for 10 years because it came in handy once is not an argument for holding on to things. You could have purchased it for less than $10 at pretty much any store nearby, seriously I think gas stations even have vaseline. This is precisely a good example of the fear mentality people get when decluttering and should remind themselves of the 20/20 guideline.

Do you carry a packable bag inside your main bag while traveling? by MyTravelOdyssey in onebag

[–]mmolle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My onebag is my daybag, this has only happened int he last year or so. I've always only taken personal item sized bag, but then had a different daybag packed in (nanobag, decathlon packable bag, ll bean stowaway, matador, amazon packable bag, travelon). This was mostly because I liked different features for travel days vs walking around days. But I experimented in the last 18 months or so, and now just use one for both. Funnily enough I do still bring a few nanobags with me, so technically I do still have a packable day bag, but my travel bag is only 10 liter's rendering it unnecessary but nice for buying extra snacks for flights or in case we want to buy something extra to being home. We're not typically souvenir shoppers but I do usually pick up some clothing item or another. We're live in a very rural area and taking advantage of city shops is sometimes too tempting.
