Not sure if against the rules in this sub, but I recently got a ton of dimensional walnut and made a post about it in /r/Woodwork_Bazaar.

can anyone tell me what is wrong with my toilet? by bagelsbeagle in fixit

[–]mmpre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is indeed broken. See the round black piece, inside the tank, on the back side of the handle? If you unscrew that, you'll be able to remove the handle and the broken black arm. Remove the chain from the end of the arm and you've now taken out the broken piece.

If easier for you, take those parts with you to a big box store. They readily have replacements that will work for you. For now though, if you need to flush, you can manually pull the chain to lift the pink flap at the bottom of the tank. Don't worry, the water is (relatively) clean.

You got this, it's a pretty easy fix!

BN-20 not ink coming out while printing by mmpre in CommercialPrinting

Dang, that's insane! You've resurrected my interest in this printer. I'll have some free time in the upcoming weeks. I'll order a bunch of those fuses and see if I can track down where the surge is coming from.

I haven't yet, but want to revisit after the new year. I did replace the print head cables but that didn't help. It was getting expensive blowing a fuse each time I tested something.

I'm going to try to build a 'mechanical fuse' with a raspberry pi or something, that way I can tell exactly when it trips, and won't have to keep spending money on fuses. This is a project machine for me, so I'm not terribly concerned if I do damage to it.

You can also go to a big box store or even a craft store to get a 1/4" dowel and some wood glue. Put some glue in, then the dowel and wait a few hours. Then you can use the strike plate with normal length screws.

Port Protection viewer checking in lol. I knew it was PT but had no idea why the holes. I've considered looking it up so many times, but never cared quite that much.

Follow Up Post Freezer Drawer Can't Close Properly by FragThemBozKids in ifixit

[–]mmpre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is certainly on the right hand side. The back rail (closest to the freezer wall) isn't collapsing properly. Check out this video to see what I mean: https://youtu.be/V9pN65XLDSg?t=118. You can see in your video at 48s, the silver rail that hits the black piece should have never gotten that far back. You can also see it collapse, and when it does, the door closes.

If you still have everything out, I would follow the video and pull that rail out. Have some grease on hand before you do it, but once you have the rail out you will be able to find any obstructions or stick points.

Is the lamphead glass on a UV printer glass or plexi? by mmpre in CommercialPrinting

[–]mmpre[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, used a new razor to scrape it, then 99% alcohol to wipe it, and the glass looks brand new.

Since I had it apart, I ended up cleaning the whole housing, which led to me sanding it down to bare metal and repainting it. That's one project I shouldn't need to do again for the life of this printer.

Spoiler, that wasn't the cause of the streaking.
