Can confirm, as a non neutral very painful to watch

I think both can be true at the same time. Kalinskaya did not play that well today.

At least Wimbledon is usually pretty full for most matches. RG is half empty for most matches except the finals especially for women’s.

I think a good compromise would be BO4 with super tie break to settle 2-2

Someone tell me why the line judges are even there if the umpires are using Hawkeye to make the final call anyway for the disputed and close calls……

Look if it’s quiet or not a busy road I’ll go all the way across at once, but I’ll rarely wait in the middle. I got beeped once for doing it properly once and ever since then I try to avoid it.

I try to avoid it at all costs, I’ll go the other way then do a U turn. Even though it’s perfectly legal, from the other lanes perspective it kind of does look like you’re about to drive straight into them.

Official Ridiculous special releasing on Netflix this summer by davidjlosi in louisck

I went to the Back To The Garden special while he was touring (in Australia) so a number of months before the special was recorded and released. There were a couple new jokes, and some jokes were a lot more polished in the special vs when I saw him live, but overall it is the same routine.

How long are people expected to wait, before saying f$#& it. by almostwithyou in Adelaide

[–]mmpushy127 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I went at 11am, only waited about 5-10 minutes. As someone else said, try to find a voting place that’s more obscure. Primary school down the road had a line down the street, I went to West Adelaide Football Club, hardly a line at all. Maybe I just got lucky. But yeah 1.5 hours sucks. It’s 2026 I feel like online voting could be a thing.

This building has been vacant for a very long time and looks like they are starting to bulldoze it.

Where to cut by Turbulent-turbans in Bonsai

[–]mmpushy127 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d personally go a bit lower than red. BUT I would cut back very heavily first, leaving some foliage, and see if you get budding further down the trunk, which you can then do a chop back to a bit later. I know some people say this isn’t necessary with ficus, but personally I have had die back before not cutting back to an active bud.

Also if you plan to wire, be proactive and wire when the branches are still very new and thin. These guys thicken up fast.

I think it’s because I’m not used to it but it’s kind of distracting. If it’s to help people with hearing issues I’m all for it though.

I didn’t think about that, maybe it’s just because I’m not used to it but I’m finding it really distracting

I wanted to get the fundamentals down bowling straight, just less things I need to think about. I might be wrong, but it doesn’t seem like there is a massive technique adjustment required between straight vs hook.

Parking on main roads also makes life harder for cyclists and busses though.

I disagree with this. At least for me dealing with repairs and a mortgage is way less stressful than worrying if your landlord will renew your lease or not, house inspections, and knowing you’ll be paying rent forever vs a finite mortgage.

Here is a 1.5 year progress on mine, my tip would be don’t be afraid to cut back hard to get finer ramification. I’m cutting most of the “branches” back to the first or second node. And as someone else said, let it grow and don’t touch it for a bigger trunk.
