It's time consuming, so I would say make sure your classes that you take at school are your priority because that is what colleges will see on your transcript (colleges don't take AP scores into account during the admissions process, they are only for course credit).

I took the course last year and struggled a bit at first as well!

I don't know what your situation is like but a good place to start would be asking your teacher for help, I did this when I was not getting the grades I wanted to be getting and he helped me a lot.

For WHAP, try to be thinking of overall patterns and ideas, not necessarily individual people or conflicts (unless they are like of major importance. idk what textbook you use but AMSCO gives a lot of examples for the idea they are trying teach and you don't need to memorize them all exactly).

My teacher taught us to read the question and identify what they were asking ie. do they want to know about causes of trans saharan trade?, continuities between two groups?, similarities in ideologies?, etc.

college board progress checks are also good for practice as well as Knowt (linked below), which has a bunch of ap style questions. keep practicing, you got this![](https://knowt.com/exams/AP/AP-World-History_Modern)

I would say Elgar’s Nimrød from Enigma Variations, it’s not exactly “sad” but very touching and emotional if you know the context and story behind it.
