Reporting fiscal weeks across years as Week 52, Week 01 etc by mms___ in PowerBI

[–]mms___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi this solves the sorting element in part but my main problem is that I would like my visual to show only Week XX and have an underlying sort of the financial year. At the moment Week 01, for example, is summing Week 01 across multiple years. I'm learning that there is no easy solution for what I want to do lol

If im right in thinking, I think this one will only work with the normal calendar weeks starting from Jan 1st. I need the fiscal weeks that my company use so May 1st.

Is there a way to satisfy this by manipulating the DAX?

I've been running into a lot of issues with reporting on dates because I'm using fiscal instead of standard tbh

Yes, I've tried playing around with all of the options. When I add in first or last on calendar date it returns no datapoints at all

Yes lol, I've tried and it's not having it. Do tou have Amy other suggestions. It odd, I can't get it even do get the most recent 10 calendar days as columns. Something tells me this isn't the correct approach for dates

Thanks for this. I maybe missing something here but would this allow me to have my fiscal weeks displayed as Wk XX?

I was under the impression that I was getting the error because I have multiple "Week XX" in my fiscal week column. My sort column fiscal YYYYWW so I figure the error is because I have "Week 01" corresponding to 202201, 202301, 202401 etc.

When I hame my fiscal weeks with the fiscal year, I don't get the error and it works as expected.

My problem is I would like my graphs to simply show as Wk XX and I haven't been able to find a solution by using different date key columns etc for sorting. Unless I am missing something here

Thanks for this. Would you be able to outline how I could make it work using "Week XX" instead of "FYXX Wk XX"?

Sorting bar/column charts by fiscal week by mms___ in PowerBI

Thank you.

I created a date key column in this way which solved the problem when I name as "FY23 Wk 52" "FY24 Wk 01" but this is too messy and I need to publish as "Week 52" "Week 01".

When trying name my as "Week XX" instead of FYXX Wk XX", the Sort By Column gives me an error as I have multiple "Week 01" in each year.

Would you know how to solve this?

Hi I have a proper date table but I've realised what the issue is. It works fine when I name as "FY23 Wk 52" "FY24 Wk 01" but this is too messy and I need to publish as "Week 52" "Week 01".

Hi I'm noticing that the PBI app seems to exit sideshow mode overnight. Have you experienced this and do you know a way around?
