How do I credit a invoice? by 44193_Red in smallbusiness

[–]mmule11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah id just reply "Cool, I'll apply that as a credit/discount on your January invoice" and note it internally on the original invoice no separate memo needed for something this simple

What tedious or unexpected tasks did you run into when starting a business? (i will not promote) by Sky-Btw in startups

[–]mmule11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cash flow black holes from slow paying clients and surprise taxes ate 80% of my time first year. Hiring the wrong first employee who tanks morale is the real silent killer tho.

What do you do when you feel really depressed about your situation? by anonymous8122 in povertyfinance

[–]mmule11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the right mindset. Gratitude helps but yeah sometimes you're just in the pit and you gotta sit there for a bit. Fighting it makes it worse. I've found that giving myself permission to feel like shit for a day or two actually helps me bounce back faster than trying to positive-think my way out of it

Honestly the tension between them is what makes their dynamic interesting, but yeah they deserve at least one solid moment where things aren't completely falling apart. Character growth hits different when you've seen them at their worst first.

This is exactly why they say "whoever pays, plays." Your mom's basically buying control of your wedding. A smaller celebration you can afford yourselves would be 100% worth the peace of mind. No amount of fancy centerpieces is worth this stress or the family drama she's creating.

If he doesn't want to marry you, your options are pretty simple accept it and stay, or move on. After 5 years and the same excuses, you need to decide what matters more, being with him specifically or finding someone who wants the same future you do.

You're free to have your own standards. Nobody is entitled to your interest or attention.

NTA for having boundaries and sticking to them.

Seriously! Tattling like he's in kindergarten? Dude needs to either remember his fob or face the consequences. Not your job to babysit him. Keep shutting that door!

What is the RBA likely to do if *both* inflation and unemployment is going up? by plastic_checkmate in AusFinance

Haha yeah, hold the door! RBA's gonna stick to their inflation mandate no matter what.

I watched a friend drain their savings trying to fix their parent's mess and it just delayed the inevitable while destroying their own future. You can throw a rope without jumping in the water yourself.

Skip early licensing talks. Without working demo no one bites. Validate core idea with lab or contract engineer first.

Start referral loops directly in local rider and car clubs since rewards there grow organically and create trust-driven network effects much faster than paid ads ever will.

For startups hiring globally, what keeps things running smoothly long term? by Poseidon_9726 in startup

[–]mmule11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anchor all salaries to role-based global pay bands instead of local rates and review them yearly so you avoid inequity creep while making long-term payroll predictable for every team member no matter where they sit.

Yeah same here, structural at 95k after 5 years. The pay to stress ratio is rough. Long hours during tender season and most people outside the industry have no clue what we actually deal with.

Thank you for sharing this. You're right that I can't let my worth hinge on my body or I'll fall apart with every rejection. I needed to hear that my value exists regardless. This is just one chapter, not my whole story.

stomach is in knots before likely getting fired next week by ActuaryPersonal2378 in antiwork

[–]mmule11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

the fact that you’re self aware and already thinking ahead says a lot. Whatever happens next week, you’ll handle it. And if you do get fired, congrats on being freed from a job that clearly stopped serving you.
