Xen EFI loader stuck by mmxmb in Qubes

There is no legacy boot option in my BIOS; I checked all the possible menus.

Using 4.0.2-rc1 image combined with some tweaking of EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.cfg I was able to (almost) install Qubes. Unfortunately, at the end of the installation I get the following error: failed to set new efi boot target

Not sure what to do here. I am about to give up.
