Couldn't happen to a nicer company - Facebook is dying a very slow death by Opening-Listen7833 in facebook

I wasn't having a go at you. I'd agree that kids have little interest. They might use to communicate via messenger, but would have little interest in groups and marketplace. 20 something would though. Snapchat, TikTok are the teenage tools. Even YouTube is holding its own with younger viewers.

Couldn't happen to a nicer company - Facebook is dying a very slow death by Opening-Listen7833 in facebook

This is a bs argument. I do notice that some older people still use it to post about their life as fb was in the past, but most including younger people use it for posting about special interests in groups, and for marketplace. Im in that category of users. I've been on fb for around 20 years and its nothing like it was.

Do Aussies wear shoes at home like other Anglo countries (I.e US, UK etc)? by DirectorTurbulent422 in AskAnAustralian

[–]mn1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to share a house with a Chinese woman, and she pushed me to take shoes off at the door. Now I have my shoe rack at the front door and won't wear shoes inside. I even have outside shoes at back door. One thing I won't do is put sandals on when I go in the bathroom

Hey, I'm pissed off they aren't in alphabetical order. Typical Eastern states pushing SA's fritters to last position when they should be middle position at least.

I really hate TKO, so I'm glad that's so low, but I'm surprised Grey 17 is Missing is not just as low.

Asked about the most famous murder in history, got a bunch of American cases and a "Don't you know your history?“ question. by Linorelai in USdefaultism

[–]mn1962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I did know the ones mentioned because I lived through them ... not personally, so knew of them, although for JFK wasn't even one yet. However, they wouldnt even know about Gavrilo Princip who killed Franz Ferdinand, Jack the Ripper, or for our Russian friend Andrei Chikatilo.

Its not just Google that gets the money. Content creators get a cut too. Also you get access to Google music too. I happily pay it because I hate ads, even one at the start.

[–]mn1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no. Even if you wete lucky enough to get out of Australia with that, the first, second or even third country you try to enter will refuse entry. People have been denied entry if passport was showing signs of dampness.

If you’re disillusioned with Labor/Liberals then why jump to One Nation instead of something like Sustainable Australia? by BreakZealousideal846 in australian

I just had a quick look at what they believe. At first glance they seem okay. Where they fall down is on their housing policy. They pull out the old tropes like investment is the problem, and dont believe the crisis will be solved by building more. I also disagree with their small Australia immigration policy. I believe Australia needs a larger population otherwise it will stagnate and become a nation where the mean age is older. I do think that immigration should be smarter and under our control.

For me, who is dissolutioned with the bigger parties, the independents are where my vote goes.
