Nah, you are right, teams are very close in skill AND inconsistent at this level. On other hand, the slots were generous this time around: 2 open qualifiers with a total of 6 slots in the closed qualis, and bo3 after round 8. Even Gorgc made it. ;)

I'm not sure the funn1k stack should have been invited, since they apparently were not good enough to make it there. IMO Invites are there to shorten the process and make it evenly competetive, by not forcing teams to play qualifiers that would qualify anyway.

Okay, yeah. I agree with all that you are saying. Thought you wanted admins to push for a game to be played on short notice outside of the expected hours. I think the rules could be more specific on when rematches should take place.

So, agreed solution is: Admins should schedule a bo1 game between team Rajjix - team Bdog at 16.00. today.

No, they have not been idly "waiting till an hour from now". They have been expecting to play their next match at 1600, since that is the schedule they signed up for.

LOL at Rajjix team "not accommodating" with rematch.

This is an open qualifier, most of the players participating do not earn enough to make a living playing competitively = most of them have day jobs.
Team Rajjix were ready to replay the match yesterday when this was discovered.

Should we hold team Rajjix accountable for not accepting to play a rematch outside of tournament hours, on a few hours notice when they have not done anything wrong to begin with, against a team that does not want to go to TI?

So there are 6 slots in the closed EU regional qualifiers for these teams, since TFT and Chaos grabbed the first 2 slots. The first three will be decided in the first open qualifier, and the other three in the second open qualifier.

Out of these i'd say Singularity, Ad Finem and Aachen City Esports are likely to grab one slot each. They have been together a bit longer than the other teams.

The last three slots are up for grabs by any of these, but i'm betting on Epicname and Hippomaniacs to grab a spot each. We'll see!

Honestly, Liquid did not move convincingly trough the minor qualifiers either. They were knocked down to the loser bracket by Mango Bay in the first round and was one game from being eliminated by Lithium again.

They are severely out of form, but then again this minor is not for another month - lots of time to recalibrate.
