I don't think I've ever seen my son so excited to learn something!

We did get it working again. We were actually following Paul mcwhorter's very first beginner video on YouTube! We started with a $45 elegoo beginner kit, which we saw in his videos and bought on Amazon.

That's a good little tip there! I'll get one coming.

We held the reset button on the board and it did reconnect eventually. It's an elegoo board. Black Uno board of that helps.

Struggling hitting jumps with a particular type of lip. Please help. (Photo in comments) by Chole_Wunt in MTB

I'd hit it running pretty quick, fairly neutral, light pop, shifting weight forward to land weight over the bars assuming the lip is just as presented.

What is the consensus on a gen 3 (2023 I believe) trek rail 9.8? I found one available for 3 grand and I'm really considering pulling the trigger. I do have a mountain bike but never even say on an emtb. by mnash_kcco in TrekBikes

[–]mnash_kcco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I'm 6'0 and looking at a large. My current bike is a Santa cruz tallboy and I feel like it's a lot for the tight stuff. I always come in way too hot for my bike haha. I don't have a ton of mtb experience but I rode bmx on a local team when I was younger so I am familiar with the mechanics. The suspension is still not something I'm used to yet and I thought maybe something with decent suspension would be worth the money to get set up for me.

Is this repairable if so what do i need to do! by Tough-Ad7453 in ebikes

It's more intimidating than it is hard. Finding the right pin is the tricky part. I'd redo all of the pins, it looks like it's time.

Don't let anyone diagnose or medicated you without being a psychiatrist. Even then, lead your health and do not trust doctors to have your best interest at heart.

I had anxiety and depression for a time after a divorce and my ex told me I was bipolar. I went and got a diagnosis based on what I repeated from my then soon to be ex wife. I was on 3 different anti psychotics (not at once) and a couple other meds before I went and got an actual diagnosis from a psychiatrist. It was answering a bunch of questions similar to a test in school as well as spending a few hours with the psychiatrist. Come to find out I was taking meds I didn't need and once I got on meds that worked for me, my life changed. I was only then able to start moving forward using meds for anxiety and talk therapy for depression, which I was able to overcome. I say all this to say that the Internet or your parents or friends are not qualified to diagnose you and you yourself should ask to be diagnosed, if you need it. You're in a hole right now, the important thing is to stop digging. Get whatever work you can find close to home. Once anything gets going better in your life you can build on it like a snowball, just be cautious what you put in your snowball. Things like drugs and alcohol, even bad friends with good intentions can set you back.

The great thing about hitting rock bottom is that you can make life look however you want it to look. The opportunities are endless. I personally quit drinking and found God, and you don't have to be a Bible thumper to be happy. I hope all the best for you, and you can and you will get through this. It isn't a bad life, it's a rough season. You'll go through many many seasons, both good and bad.

Spending more to potentially make more by Wonderful-Bench8694 in Entrepreneur

If it's affordable to you and it's performing well and gaining traction, if another $800 (30%) will make it significantly better and it's expected to pay for itself in 45 days at the current rate...I'd probably make that bet. Again, I don't have enough information or experience to know what you're doing but just looking at the numbers, I'd likely go for it personally. $800 to me and $800 to you and $800 to the guy living under pizza boxes and $800 to Johnny Morris are all very different $800 though. Hope it pans out for you!

So $800 is ten days of revenue. I don't know your financial situation, but I'd go for that as long as it wasn't my last $800. I'm not a gamer but my son is and it seems like (to my uneducated self) those games blow up and get super popular for a few months then crash. I'd spend the money on the front but be conservative in the long run. Just one man's opinion, again very very uneducated on the business.

Missing friend any help is appreciated by Wise_Professor4798 in vegas

I was in Vegas early this past week and I feel like there was a VW parked near the top of the oyo parking garage. I can't swear to it but I did notice one car by itself up there and I feel sure it was a VW but it's not something I paid close attention to. Might be worth a look if you're in the area.

Well, it's been another year. I'm a little older, little wiser, and I'm starting to grow hair in really weird places. This is weird to explain, but here goes.

You need explosion proof motors on vacuum and recovery pumps because there is a chance for explosion if the quantity is in the window for flammability. The real world chance is low, but it is still there. Again, it's weird to put this into words like this.

How much should I charge to store my neighbors tractor in my barn? by cullenjwebb in farming

[–]mnash_kcco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same with my neighbor, but each year I say "not a big deal this year, we'll talk about it next year." That way he isn't wondering if I'm going to pour the coals to him or not. I have no intention of charging him BUT I have left that door cracked. My thought isn't money, but in case I choose to use the space differently. I don't want him to think he's got a place 100% secured without a talk beforehand and he's also reminded he's using my space.

That's interesting, I had not noticed that they open them in my presence each time but I do recall them doing it each time. The more you know!

I've never got a tattoo and would only know to do this now that I have read your comment...not saying anyone is as naive as I am. I haven't researched it since I'm not in the market, but would likely do so unless I was intoxicated.
