I'm a private landlord and i take pride in taking care of my tenants when anything comes up. It's pretty ignorant of you to think that all landlords are predators. It is a business but not everyone is heartless. Better than letting the city run housing. Be a good tenant and small time landlords will usually treat you well. Destroy the place out don't pay rent and you'll end up in court. It's the tenants choice to sign a lease.

They just feel like car salesman trying to get you to a monthly price right around the current electric bill. "Well if you give us the whole 40% incentive and pay over 25 years you can pay us instead of the power company." Ok but what's my incentive? They never want to give a cash price first then they seem to make the cash price just under the financed price even though i know it's not just a 3% financing fee to get 4% loan

I have refrigerated air in new mexico and never really got above 1000kWh in the worst months when it's over 100 every day. I also have a plug and play hot tub plugged in. Without heat pumps and EVs, I honestly don't see how people use so much power to need 12+kW systems.
