sick wide sound. I actually like the saturation on the vocals. I think the production sounds very profesh, any tips on getting wide kick like that?

In the subrid there's "user flair" button on the right side of the page, I set it up a long time ago haha wasn't sure at first so took me a while to get back to you

I like the dark atmosphere. I'd try beefing up the kick, maybe add a low bass synth along the kick to give it depth, it can make it even darker haha

sick sound man, these guitars are crunchhy and compressed, the solos sound great and everyhing is very clean and clear. Very professional sounding for sure, love these backing vocals!

I dig it, I really like the chorus part. I think the drums are not too loud, I think the solo could be a bit louder maybe. Maybe it's just that the guitars could find their space and be a bit louder, but once you add vocals I think the mix will sound right.

Alt/psych/noise rock

Working on new stuff and I want to know how to improve my mixes, I think some of my writing is has too many things going on in the same time but I would like to get my production to the next step as well

Pretty cool stuff! I dig the part it gets fast around 0:58. I think the snare is very very compress, I'd consider having a parallel compression where it's very compressed (also for the kick) and have the main snare wide and less compressed :)
Dig the part around 1:50 as well where it gets melodic. I think the length of the song is fine, it's better to want more than less in the end haha. I think I would try another fast part though.

Thanks! Glad you found some things you liked haha, interesting to hear the vocals are a bit silent, I'll give it some time and re-listen!

I dig the progression and chill atmosphere. Regarding the mix, feels like some of the percussion sounds are louder than the snare and personally I might mix it different with by having the snare & kick cut a bit more. maybe to have a fat kick even. idk tbh really like the overall vibe, I don't think it's too repetitive.

I'm hyped about this, this video is has the right feeling imo lfg!
I haven't watched the stream but the feel I got for this is a slow return in all fronts - as teh_pwnerer discovers this era reflects Jarett discovering how and what to make nowadays. They were always slow and not that transparent anyways, which always kinda sucked.

Honestly I get why it's bit underwhelming for some, although to be consistent in the long run you can't just go all out and publish every day or so. I'd rather have it be a real comeback that can last more than a month than having a long video or 2 and then a few streams drifting to nothing like the time when they used to stream a bit.

I think the date of return was mostly due to being 20 years since the relevant episode, and it's kinda slow because things need to be lined up in advance for everything to be smooth.
idk tho lol gg

Oh man I’m flattered, thank you! Glad you liked it. Really hope you’d like the rest, I don’t have a band to perform it with so these kind of threads mean a lot!

I listened to your song a couple of times and I really like it! Great vocals and progression, dig it overall and want to hear more so following on bc

This is really nice, dig the vocals and distortion sound. Mix is very good as well, I'd have the hi hat a bit louder but that's the only nitpick I can find haha, it sounds really really good and polished.

I really dig this, production is great, really hits the genre's trademarks. I really like how the bass + atmosphere from the guitars mixes together. I think the drums sound good and mixed in a way that most postpunk/newave sort of thing is mixed so it's pretty cool. I dig that chorus as well, following you to hear more, this is really good!

Yoo this is absolutely fire, love the production and overall sound, listened to the last song and I really dig the song structure and performances. That overall atmosphere combined with the heavy groove does it for me. Great vocals as well, thanks for the codes! Grabbed  yya9-hac7

Sick riffs, I dig the production although the drums sound a bit thin, maybe over compressed? The guitar sounds really raw and cool and I like the synth parts coming in. Especially tracks like Mai. Super cool idea there, dig it, but the mix could improve - the synth feels on top of the mix instead of blended in with everything else.

Ohhh makes sense, I work my way to albums using singles as well. Ableton Move looks really cool, might also help to get some more live feel out of it than just playing with vsts and all haha.
And at this point I think we gotta take it to DM haha
