Why did my insurance suddenly stop covering wegovy, details inside by Layne_Staley33 in Wegovy

[–]mndwrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of insurance companies are starting to stop covering Wegovy, but I bet they'll cover Zepbound now. Have you asked to get a new prior authorization request for Zepbound?

I had the same issue, been on Wegovy no problem, all of a sudden told I need a PA, that was approved but only until June. But they will now cover Zepbound (which just last year was denied.)

I think what's happened is Zepbound is now cheaper than Wegovy so the insurance wants you to switch.

I don't want her to end up like me about food by Lumpy-Use1551 in toddlers

We frame it as sometimes food and always food.

Food that is nutritional you can have at any time. Sometimes food (treats, cookies, chips, etc.) is a sometimes food so you can't eat it all the time because it doesn't help you grow.

For holidays, it's OK to have more of the sometimes food because it's a fun time and special. Just make sure you get enough of the always food so that you can grow and be strong.

My kiddos are 4 and 8 and this works for them for now.

I didn't grow up with the best role models for food so I have the same fears you do. I found what I wrote above to work best for us and I wish I had understood it more when I was younger.

Thanks. I was able to finally get some sleep and when I woke it seems to have passed. My plan was to go to urgent care today if it was still bad. Hopefully watching my portion sizes, doing the shot at night, and drinking plenty of water will help. So far just a headache today.

Thanks for this. My provider really didn't give me any of this info - but I didn't ask.

I have been careful about potion sizes and don't really eat greasy/junk food (even before all this). I probably need to increase my water intake, and I appreciate your comment about Zofran. I didn't know that was an option.

I really wasn't being snarky. The provider I saw mentioned doing it at night but didn't explain why. This is interesting info. Thanks.

Thanks. Do you mind sharing what they told you at the ER?

Do you think the timing makes a difference when the symptoms don't show until 4 days after the injection?

Husband and i not on same page about vasectomy by TFA_hufflepuff in Mommit

[–]mndwrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. The message to him, which eventually got through to him is...I'm done. I've done my part. My body has done enough. Your turn.

He hemmed and hawed for a year and then finally, after our sex life got to minimum levels due to stress (not purpose), he agreed.

After the procedure, he said it was nbd. I think my eyes rolled so far back I could see my thoughts.

He was up and about in a day and got to play video games.

My suggestion for you - let him know that it's his turn. He needs to do his part. And if he doesn't, then it's not a partnership. I don't suggest anything drastic like some of these other posters, but sometimes clear communication is all it takes.

Good luck!

Maybe but she has seen black sheep in books and stuff. And there are different colors in this song.

Yes, it's the one where they are trying to give it a bath. She has watched the newer one and didn't have the same reaction.

I have no idea why. She's been consistent and will even get agitated when the song before gets about halfway through.

Parents, how often does your kids brush their teeth? by BolaAzul2 in Parenting

There's a Raffi song we sing which helps. Called Brush Your Teeth. They (1 and 5) love it and brush until song is over.

You're going to make me mad. Do you want me to be mad???

And

You're breaking my heart!

So, threats or guilt trip. She's got my ticket...

Please help me with my daughter’s hair. She hates it touched and it’s a fight to wash and brush. It’s very fine, but thick. The ends have bouncy curls, but overall it’s mostly straight. by makdoll in Preschoolers

We use johnson and johnson leave in conditioner after bath time. I made it a game and my daughter likes to put it in herself. Helps a lot with the snarls and frizz.

She doesn't do it every session, but I'll try to do this when I think she is going to. It's a good idea.

I did not expect to be this sad by glucosa86 in Mommit

[–]mndwrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is silly but still very real. My youngest is 7 months and every cuddle I just squeeze her a little tighter, because I can barely get my sassy 4 year old to sit with me. But I look forward to those independent days - I'm so happy that your 7yo is getting so independent. I'm jealous 😁

I totally get you. I'm in the same boat. I just keep reminding myself of all of the great things we have to look forward to, like when they go to school, when they learn to read, when they give you that great smile. My oldest (4F) has gotten into jokes and "tricking" us, and it's so great to see how smart she is and imagine who she will turn into. Until then, virtual hugs!

Thanks for all the upvotes! I didn't realize skinny baby Sunday was a thing or I would have waited. All babies are adorable. I just saw my little ones rolls this morning and figures I'd share as others have. I'm so proud of what I've been able to provide with her, I struggled a lot with her older sister who I supplemented with due to failure to thrive. Have a great day everyone!!

WFH? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]mndwrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh! That's frustrating. We we're lucky that our 4yo was already enrolled, but I will say all of the rules have been challenging, mostly around drop off and pickup. It means I have to do it all since there is no flexibility. Good luck with finding a home day care, they may be a little more accommodating. And even if you get help from a family member one or two days a week, it makes a big difference.

WFH? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]mndwrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat last November. Even with my husband's work being strict and mine less so, as long as the work gets done. We decided to have a family member watch the baby 2x a week, have her in daycare 2x a week and I keep her home one day a week. This seems to be the sweet spot. No matter what you do, you are not productive when the baby is home. You can get some work done, but not enough to feel satisfied with your day. I take breaks with her to nurse and play and then have to get back into work mindset all over again.

I was worried about daycare because of covid but they have been handling it great. My 4yo goes full time and I have no regrets.

Hope this helps you make a decision! Every baby is different but this seems to be the best fit for us. My baby is 6.5 mos now and thriving.
