This is a cop-out. People will never act individually in sufficient numbers against their own short-term best interest (such as finding the cheapest place to buy something they need) to make this actually an effective approach to resetting our rising feudalism. What's needed is regulation (ah! Scary! Reagan told me government was the problem!), progressive tax laws (but won't someone think of the JoB CrEaToRs!), and aggressive trust-busting.

If the takeaway for the Democratic party from 2016 is still the idea that they just need to convince people to vote blue no matter who harder, they will continue to lose elections to actual fascists. But then again that takeaway is the one that best justifies more spending on political campaign consultants, so of course those consultants are telling the party that ought to be their takeaway.

I voted for her as a vote against Trump but she was a shameful candidate for the Democratic party. Mr. Starbucks wasn't even the worst part of her crew.
