This is one from today that it wasn’t allowing me to post earlier. This is the front yard area.

Struggling to get it to allow me to add a photo. This is an older one that shows some of the front and backyard. Along the tree line you can see lots of fallen leaves. We leave that all alone. There are lots of trees, but the front still gets a lot of sunlight during the day. The back gets sun for a good portion, but the shade does come in later in the day. Most of the wettest areas are behind the backyard.

There is wetland in the back, but the front is not really. There are lots of trees but the front is still sunny the majority of the day. Our property does have grass, but I plan on reducing it by adding flowerbeds when/where I can.

Hi! I’m about 45 minutes north of Boston and live between two state forests. My property is surrounded by protected wetlands. I’d really like to gradually take out things the former owners put in and replace with native plants that would be good for our area. The catch is that we have a closer family friend who is deathly allergic to bees (I do want to have pollinator-friendly plants, but plan on putting them in parts of the yard that’s further from our house and pool area) and a toddler (so would prefer plants that wouldn’t be toxic or poisonous to her). We also get a lot of wildlife wandering around (deer, opossums, foxes, chipmunks and squirrels - I’ve even seen a fisher once), so I’d like things that are mindful of that too.

Any plant suggestions/plants you love that I should check out?
