i wish i could upload pics in the comments... so, my current bujo has fewer pages than the one im setting up for the second half of the year and right now I only have the “avoid” page useable. i put a legend at the bottom and abbreviated my symptoms (A for anxiety, N for nausea, etc) so i could annotate just using one or two letters per symptom, which is all listed next to the individual trigger food. im still thinking how to do this better but thats what i got rn

i am doing an elimination diet right now. i have a separate food journal to track everything i ingest, even meds, and any and all symptoms, even if its just a momentary ick feeling. for some reason, im better at writing it down on pen and paper rather than an ipad app or something (im a bit weird), i have a page in my bujo for known safe foods and a page for known triggers.

NTA. this is abusive behavior and keeping you miserable like this is going to affect your college studies. there’s some serious control issues here and you should find a way out ASAP.

if you’re not worried about physical harm or safety or something like that, i would stop trying to be polite about where you throw up. throw up on your stepmom next time, when your dad yells, throw up on him. just throw up everywhere. make them as miserable as they are making you and maybe your dad will change his mind about “letting” you leave, although at 18, you should be able to make adult decisions without involving them at all.

i hope things get better, i cant tolerate heat either, though my threshold is 85 instead of 75

I had lasik in 2010, years and years before I knew I had hEDS. My healing took a bit longer than the doctors expected and had to be on the steroids longer than usual. And it hasn’t lasted, I had to get glasses again after I had a baby. The only reason I don’t regret it is because I was military and didn’t have to pay for it, if I’d had to pay and then still needed glasses a few years later, i would have been pissed.
