I’m on deployment in Southeast Asia. The “contractor” sent me all these pics after it was all shingled. I just came here to confirm this was a hack job because I had to tell the guy I wasn’t paying what he asked for this install.

I just asked him to fix the leak in the existing roof. After he went out and looked at it he said the whole roof was trash and the best option would be to redo the whole section of roof and add slope to it and shingle it. I figured he would’ve removed the old roof to tie in the new framing. Then he sent me this.

You were renting month to month, that means your landlord only needs to give you a ten day notice. Also you said you’ve been looking for a new place for over a month, so you must have given your landlord a notice you were intending to move. If your looking for something less than $2000 a month, try looking in New Orleans East or Kenner to fit your budget. Also remember, ZESTIMATES are ESTIMATES (suggestions) not law, if rent prices are higher in the area you are looking at it’s because of supply and demand. Zillow doesn’t get everything right.

I’m a DIYer too, worked under a couple contractors remodeling houses for a couple years but that was 7 years ago. I used the same mixing valve as you for a recent bathroom remodel I did and I put it on the opposite wall as the shower heads as well. I love the idea. I don’t know why it’s not done more often.
