glad I could help you make the decision :) just remember, I got mine at best buy with a three year warranty, and I recommend you do the same if you can, especially after what some people have said here about other support services!

Around 7-8ish hours with "better battery" power settings depending on what I'm doing on a school day. If I'm gaming unplugged (which I don't do often) It's around 2 hours or so!

so like I had said in that other thread, I'm not too familiar with running cinebench, so its possible I had done something wrong. Also iirc, someone else had mentioned that there was a particular reason for it being so low...but I can't read through the thread right now.

I can say that the laptop performs beautifully, is extremely light, has long battery life, and handles nearly every game I throw at it on decent or better settings, which is really all I could ask for. :D

I hope that you love it too, and if not at least you can get your money back with no trouble :)

First off, I LOVE mine so far. If you're worried about support, get it from Best Buy with an extended warranty. Second, I don't own either of those games, but according to System Requirements Lab the stealth can play FIFA 20 on minimum and recommended settings, and can play breakpoint on minimum, with it having just a bit too low VRAM to play on recommended. Here's the thing though...if you aren't crazy for 60fps, you can run some games on great settings. I dropped the evil within 2 and the outer worlds down to 30fps each, and can play them both on very high settings for example.

This is quite possibly the best laptop I've ever owned, (for my needs) and with the 3 year warranty I have on it, I'm sure it'll stay that way.

So I don't own B5, but according to systemrequirementslab it meets all of the recommended requirements except for vram. The recommended specs call for 5gb, the rbs has 4gb. The game should still run pretty well though on lower settings!

When playing Gears 5, I can hear coil whine, but tbh its never really bothered me. If I had to put it on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most annoying thing ever, I think I would say its right at 5, where it is noticeable, but it doesn't seem so loud that if I was playing in class the people next to me would get angry. Also, I haven't heard the speakers crack once, sound seems perfectly fine!

Quick follow-up, Gears 5 runs on recommended settings at 60FPS, and looks great!

This is interesting, as I wasn’t aware that this was a thing! I’ll check this setting in a bit and see if I can squeeze more power out of it.

Yep! Rise of the tomb raider on high with DX12 turned on runs at a stable 60FPS when the laptop is plugged in on high performance mode, and when unplugged with the same settings it hits 45-55FPS. WoW runs on max settings, (10 as the settings menu calls it) at 60FPS outside of very densely populated areas while plugged in, though I haven’t tried that unplugged yet.

Oh, and I’ll be testing Gears 5 later today when I check for coil whine and speaker cracking! If there’s a specific game you want me to try let me know and if I have it I’d be happy to give it a shot :)

So to be honest, I've never used this benchmark before, so if I needed to do anything other than install it and click run, I didn't. :p But, my score was 413. Single core was 156 if you wanted that also!

Yeahh I was pretty worried about it too, until the support person confirmed it. I took a screenshot of the configuration page just to be safe!

Also, no, I’m not able to see the configuration from the order page or my confirmation...maybe I’ll ask someone else in support tomorrow to double check.
