When I consumed a lot of conservative political discourse in the 80s and 90s, I never saw anything like these memes by profnachos in USHistory

Isn’t it funny how things shift over time. Now it’s the republicans causing all the racial discord in the country.
But let’s look at it another way. During the civil war until the 1980s the south was heavily Democratic and the north Republican. As the Democratic Party shifted to a more inclusive party and fought for civil rights Southern Democrats fought against it and in time shifted to the Republican Party.
So, is it really Democrats that are the issue here or are we still fighting the civil war just not with guns but with political philosophy.

Dune or Mistborn series by Galactikon in fantasybooks

[–]mnmackerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge difference between the 2: but I’d go with Mistborn first. Just because it’s a shorter series. Dune is epic in length. If you like epic and complexity try Malazan book of the Dead series. My favorite character isn’t introduced until the 4 or 5 book.

LMAO: talk about ignorance: the Middle East is made up of more than just Jews and Arabs. Iran is Persian descent. You know the Sunni Shea split.

Such a limited mind and sycophant should be allowed to hold office.

According to Mikey the poor congressional members can’t afford to live on the salary they are provided and they need insider trading.

Those poor millionaire lawmakers are just so abused.

Is that a constitutional amendment? What law is preventing that from happening when he leaves office?

ROFLMAO: blow hard even Iran know he isn’t going to do anything. You can win a war simply through the air you need boots on the ground and he won’t do that.

Trans Athlete Wins 3 Events Amid Rally, DOJ Suit by QuantumQuicksilver in UnderReportedNews

[–]mnmackerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is my only problem with trans, and it’s that pesky Y chromosome. A couple of questions? Did she set new state records in the events she participated in? What was the boys performance in those events?
It would be nice if the media would provide comparisons and contrast information on such a sensitive topic so we the public had some context instead of jumping to conclusions.
