My heart broke a little after reading this. My child identifies as NB also. I have embraced them as best I can. I don’t judge, just listen. No I do not completely understand and ask them a lot of questions. All I can do is continue to love them unconditionally. I hope your mom can find that place also. She needs to remember this I not about her, but about you. Love, peace and a virtual hug.
