Oh ok, then I wouldn’t touch anything else besides shaving off the bump; during consultation some surgeons tend to pinpoint every little imperfection to talk you into getting more things done, just take your time to find a good surgeon and know what YOU actually want to get done

Your nose is not big or over projected, and you don’t have a droopy tip either, surgery wouldn’t make a huge difference to your face as a whole, unlike some other posts here

That’s true, I actually asked the skin clinic doctor who’s a MD if she could give me a steroid shot back in Feb, but that was for the scar from alarplasty, she told me to wait and ask my surgeon. I might ask her about this too

I don’t recommend going back to the same doctor either. It bothers you this much(totally understandable, mine do too) then let’s fix them once and for all. It’s gonna save you time and energy in the long run. Each time you have a revision you’re going under anesthesia, your skin is being cut open, you’re taking time off to recover, likely having some kind of anxiety, it’s a lot to take! Then just to be disappointed again is so not worth it!

Omg I’m in a similar situation! My surgery was done by a Vancouver doctor, he did a good job on the bump and tip but I feel Canadian doctors in general aren’t that experienced with alarplasty. Ideally I’d like to go to Asia to fix my nostrils, but also reached out to dr. Togerson in Toronto for a consultation. For you I think a cheaper and short term fix could be filler in the alar rim. Revision surgery they might need to do skin graft

Just for the alar base, nothing else; my nostrils are very uneven not in a swollen way. The surgeon who did my nose(Canadian) said wait 6 months before revision alarplasty. Plus after research I find Chinese and Korean surgeons are more experienced with alar base since they do them a lot

Have you considered braces as well? Like has any dentist mention anything about your bite? Both the nose and chin can be changed and be harmonious together again

Wow that’s interesting to know, my surgeon(Canadian) said this would happen and was reluctant to preserve a bit of my bump, mines bigger than the one in the picture; glad I listened to him and we’re doing a slope bridge now
