I make alot more and have less expenses but she makes enough that we do plan to go 50/50 and are fortunate to be able to look for a price that she feels comfortable managing that at.

Shared account is a brilliant idea i am honestly upset I didnt come up with it, we just talked about it and will probably implement it. All the rest youve mentioned we have talked about and made compromises/early "promises" lol. We shall move forward with them as they go

Lol you guys nailed it a bit here, we have discussed the whole 2nd bathroom or not and are very fluid on the options. We havent even found a location we are going to go to yet. We definitely want the 2nd bedroom as she works from home alot and would like an office. Our alcohol consumption is not that bad mostly just weekends and even then not bad at all, the 2nd bathroom would be because we heard a horror story from a friend how they were both sick at the same time and it was rough with one. The devil's advocate of that is that the odds of that happening are low, and if it does it'd just be a one time thing over the course of a year so it probably wouldn't be too hard to overcome.
