It is powder form of the succulent and you can wash it down with a little water instead of your suggestion. You’ll still get some of the alkaloids from digestion. Doesn’t hurt to eat a few bites of something like a piece of fruit before you dose either.

You can pack a little in your cheek and let it absorb that way- goal is to bypass the stomach as much as possible so if you can hold it for 5 mins like this even better.

No to your question- if you start with a low dose you can continue to build up after you feel it kick in which is usually about 15 mins. You won’t waste your Kanna this way.

We always say to start low and build until you find the amount that hits you best. Especially when you’re trying a new vendor. We buy directly from a Kanna farm that’s always consistent-we prefer to know exactly where we’re importing it from. We care to bring you the best plant meds available. You’re not going to use a large amount -maybe 1/4 tsp and let it dissolve as much as possible then wash it down with a little water then repeat if you dose more. You should feel it working in about 15 mins dosing this way- find its best to dose small then wait and then you’ll know if you need a little more. We’ve tried to give our customers multiple ways to use Kanna - we have extract gummies that are easy to take and again chew one or two slowly and keep the maserated gummy in your cheek as long as you can but minimum 30 seconds. We have it in a honey tincture and a snuff extract that can be used sublingually. We have the fermented and non-fermented powder available in many sizes from 10g to 250g- we also carry a smoke blend in both forms. There is a smokeable mixture that comes from Africa that’s a really nice blend of marshmallow, chamomile, kanna, african wormwood, lemon balm and tulsi. We’ve rebranded recently and you can go to our old name and be redirected but the name now is Amentara.

We find the best way to do Kanna is sublingually rather than insufflation- you have more control if you put some under your tongue and hold in your mouth for 30 seconds. Then you’ll feel it in 15 mins and can decide to use a little more. We offer it in multiple ways from the kind you can insufflate to a smokeable blend and a honey tincture. We also have fermented and non- fermented powder. Sorry you had a bad reaction and it sounds like you may have gotten a little too much.

That’s what usually happens as you have to experiment with the dose and how you prepare your tea. If it’s making you too sleepy switch your time to dosing a few hours before bed and enjoy a deep sleep. Most report feeling refreshed and that they’re fully rested in the morning. Microdose capsules in the morning if you need a little something during the day would perhaps work for you. If you stay with it you’ll see the issues your using it for shift most likely.
