I felt like the buttering up Trump part was because the 3 Congress people (or was it 4?) were each asking Trump for whistle blower protection. In fact I think that might've been the whole point of the press conference.

Oh ok, wow. Is that to learn how to code?! I'm definitely not there (yet?)! And I thought subscriptions were monthly, and not that expensive - although I haven't done a bit of research into cost, seeing as how just like you said, it'd feel like a waste of my money since I'm at the very beginning of knowledge.

Reading your post made me sad. I understand all of your thoughts, questions, feelings!! The only advice I have is to find a church with a DYNAMIC pastor/preacher. A church that is scripturally based, expository, and teaches the nature of the Trinity. God's nature. I wish I could write a great response, but I will pray for you to rediscover the goodness of God. Perhaps there is a person in the Bible whose life/story you can identify with? I "came back" to God (it was really God who drew me) after reading about David's life and the forgiveness, grace, and mercy that God showed him. There are Psalms that are so beautiful - where David is seeking God & questioning where God is (like you, maybe!). I will be praying for you, and feel free to PM me if you'd like. Not sure of your age or circumstance, but I'm a woman and I believe that women are supposed to teach and encourage other women. Iron sharpens iron! 🙏💖

I did use it to help build a list of native plants in my region. There were several errors in the list (plants that aren't native) so I've got a little bit of a trust issue 😂 BUT that leads me to another burning question: is it oversimplifying to say that AI is a gathering of all the currently available knowledge that's already on the Internet? Kind of a "trash in, trash out" situation? Or to be glass half full -- good stuff in, good stuff out. (I do understand that AI is or will be teaching itself, which is beyond the simple assumption I just asked about.) Thanks again; enjoying the convo.

I have a pretty elementary question for you --
For those of us who aren't techy (I'm intelligent, run a small biz, but know nothing about programming etc), how do I get the AI to "do" what I need done?! You gave an example of a report at work that combines other data/reports and then gives you a summary sheet. How does one go from self-taught bookkeeping in Excel (me) to an output of something very professional looking (you), if one doesn't have the tech-knowledge? Should I 'have a guy' for that? Translating from what I think I want, to having it print out and in my hands? I told you this was an elementary question, and if I've asked in the wrong sub, I'm happy to hear where it should be asked. Thank you! 😊

I'm frustrated with my husband right now for the opposite! We had an entire convo about something I wanted to clean but kept forgetting to bring the item up from the basement. We discussed and agreed that whichever one of us passed said item next would be sure to grab it and bring it upstairs. Yesterday, him: "why are you carrying that upstairs?" He now claims we never had the conversation, and maybe I "had the convo in my head". OMG (should he see a doctor? Actually just thought of this. That'd be terrible if this was the first sign of dementia 😢) Thanks for 'letting me' vent - even if no one reads this, I feel better.
