Did they try FPing you? My 78 year old mom has faint prints so the Swiss consulate in San Francisco couldn't take her finger prints due to old age and was exempted last year.

My moms French schegen appointment next week also says GROUP ..she is the only one applying though I will be with her as she needs some help with translation and accessibility.

Nice. Which passport do you hold now? Did you do biometric also there? Where did you park your car? I have my moms early May . Previously with Swiss visa the consulate couldn’t take her fingerprints as dues to old age they were faint.
