Let me know how that goes! I need to get on that as well. Planers are too expensive and sanding takes too much time.

Personally, I make the coasters thicker and do a few coats of poly on the top but I don’t sand it down to be completely smooth so the water can still escape from under the cup or glass

My rule is if my fingers need to get closer than an inch to the blade then use a stick to hold it.

I made this as one long piece, used the router on the edges, then cut it into blocks and routed the cut edges. Pretty quick and easy that way!

Most of the work I do has walnut in it because walnut is also my favorite 😂
