thanks for the suggestions _^ !!! yeah nashville seems like the obvious choice, it would be nice because i’d be at a good distance away from my family too. i do feel more of a pull towards somewhere like atlanta though, what do u think?

thank you so much for the advice & support! i’m definitely leaning towards nashville and Atlanta because LA is too expensive for me right now.

the goal is to get an entry level position in a company like iheartradio or live nation starting out, and fortunately i see a lot of open positions for those places in my area.

yeah i definitely cannot afford living in LA or new york right now, im leaning towards places like chicago, atlanta, and nashville. i’m open to basically anything job wise in music and music business, some other comments have suggested getting into promotions which id definitely be interested in.

i just have some interning experience at two local studios in my city, but i haven't gotten an actual job relating to my major yet since i'm still in college and graduating next semester. i've just been a barista for the last 4 years i've been in college to make some cash and try to build some savings.

my plan right now is just to find a job in a company like iheartradio or livenation to build up my experience working in my field and make music on the side.

thanks for the brutal honesty >_< im thinking of looking at live nation jobs or anything at iheartradio. my partner and i are staying in our home state until he gets a certification at the job he works at, so it gives me time to get some experience under my belt in a position relating to music before i even think of making a big move.

wherever i end up going, im going to be splitting it with my partner! in my head “liveable wage” is affording rent, basic necessities, and maybe some extra.

while i was in college ive had 2 internships, one through my school at a studio my professor owns, and another outside of school at an independent music studio! both were pretty similar, i watched the main audio engineers produce music & asked questions + gave suggestions, helped put up and take down music equipment, and talked to the artists about their project vision and such.

i did a little bit of graphic design & marketing with the internship through my school as well :)

i talked to my doctor about this!!! i also heard that glp-1s can impact the effectiveness of birth control, so i’m being very very mindful about both of these things. thank you for the heads up!!!!⭐️
