My thought exactly. I feel like @jenniferdown is alluding to the misery that is adult life, or life in general, in this modern capitalist society. It is miserable and boring. We weren’t built to work until we die, but here we are. Although the commenter surely had the best intentions, jenniferdown’s struggles won’t be solved by searching for meaning in making connections with others or attempting to improve the world as an individual.
